As you begin your journey to become a pirate legend, you'll first have to select a pirate to represent you throughout your swashbuckling antics. Eight different variations of the avatar will appear on-screen that you can choose from. If you're not quite sure if you want to commit to one of the pirates, you can mark them as a favorite so they do not disappear when you decide to refresh the gr

"We are storing all awarded achievements, and are working to deliver these for all affected players. There is some groundwork in the patch arriving [today] that enables us to then deliver the delayed achievements via a service-side change, but ETA on this is a little loose whilst we work on the plan. We are hoping to enable this by the end of the week, and will share more information so

Alongside the wave of permanent content within The Hungering Deep comes a bevy of time-sensitive content as well, the most exciting of which is a limited adventure. It all begins with the no-legged pirate Merrick, who'll set the player on a "trail of riddles and rumors" in pursuit of the creature he calls his nemesis. As is implied, the adventure won't be available forever -- and neither will its exclusive rewards. Just when the event will end isn't clear, but don't wait too long to join in the

The new ship comes with two masts and two cannons on each side. It is designed for an optimal crew of three people, so even if you cannot find a fourth friend to conquer the seas with, you can still have a viable competitive crew. Honestly, I do believe that this is one of the best new features we've seen from Rare since lau

One of the new Bilge Rat Adventures is the Sunken Curse. And before it was released, Rare made sure to hype it as a brand new activity that will make us go deeper into the open waters and explore what’s beneath the choppy surface of the sea. Naturally, everyone thought that a new enemy, maybe some sort of merpeople, were going to make an appearance. Unfortunately, it turned out that it was just some statues that we had to beat into submission. Sure, a big update came very soon after this Bilge Rats Adventure, but in my opinion, the Sunken Curse was just lazy, if anyth

It's not exactly a new feature, but Rare also confirmed that they'll be adding at least one new mysterious figurehead. The shadowy teaser image, oddly enough, looks exactly like a shark-shaped figurehead that was already shown in a previously released screens

Now, when you can get a good-sized crew that can all communicate? That's when Sea of Thieves truly comes alive. This is a game that can master the art of camaraderie as you help each other out by telling the player at the wheel what's past the sails in their view, keeping an eye out for shipwrecks with potential loot, splitting up to search an island and swap clues and findings, or even firing flintlocks at sharks from the ship to help save players making a swim for the ladder while carrying the treasure you found. Heck, even just playing around with the musical instruments or getting drunk on grog during a quieter moment provides some laughs and levity as a group. Working as a crew is just as fun and rewarding, and is clearly the game's biggest strength.

Merrick will offer a set of ship customizations including a figurehead, sails, and hull paint, along with a sharky drum and speaking horn. Merrick's shark-themed exclusives aren't the only time-limited rewards, however. The Hungering Deep will also have the Hungering Tattoo Set and some shark-bite scars made available for purchase in-game. And of course, if customizations are your pirate's fancy, there's likely more to c

On top of that, Sea of Thieves players are still seeing a delay in gold and reputation rewards and there has been some server instability noted on the forums. Not all of these issues will be fixed by this week’s patch, but Rare is hoping to get the more pressing problems ironed out. At the very least, this patch should put the game on the path towards stability and new content releases , even if some problems still pers

computer_cables_plugged_into_extension_cord-1024x683.jpgThis absence of direction is also found when you first step foot on your ship. Whether you decide to embark on a small Sloop by yourself or a large Galleon with a few friends, each one functions the same way. I do think operating a ship is fairly intuitive and can be easily learned, but some sort of guidance would have helped make that process quicker. If a tutorial were implemented, I would not have questioned every action I was doing, giving me confidence during my first hour of playing. From my own experience, it took me a solid 30 minutes to an hour to examine each part of the ship, how each role works, and what to do when it is dama

I think we already established that the Sea of Thieves community is awesome. It’s tight-knit, it’s mostly friendly, and most people do not take it personally when their ship is sunk and their booty - stolen. After all, that’s what the strategy game Patch notes|Https://strategyreviewer.com/ is all about, right? But, surely, most people would not attack an empty ship, just to get some cheap laughs by watching it sink to the bottom of the sea, right? Well, wrong. In fact, often you will find that other crews do not attack you for your loot, they will not even check if you have loot. They just want to make you feel miserable by having to respawn over, and over, and over ag
